DISK DRIVES!

Can any tell me how use my disk drives? I just upgraded from ME to XP and my disk drives seems not to be working, sometime it write but it uses the whole disk and it can not even read disk created while still using ME! Need help fast as I have to access data stored in the disk! Thanks for nay help or suggestions!
