In our Intranet we need access to a variety of online Word documents. These are stored in published folders and may contain a few to a hundred documents. I would like to create a hyperlink that displays the contents of each folder as shortcuts (so auser could just click on it and a document would open for example).
Now I can do this using the etc command, however the resulting page lists all of the files as large icons, in one row down the left margin with half the names cut off. I’m also promted with a warning each time I open a file (running a system command might be unsafe…).
Is there a better way to list the contents of a folder (without hyperlinking each item), so a user can see a clear and simple list of fles, then just click on each one for it to open. I’m not big on HTML, but any advice would be great. (using WinNT4.0, Frontpage 2000 & IE5.5)
