Dll’s opening with another program

I’m running windows Me and I noticed that all my dll files open with my pctv program that I have installed. All my applications work but I was wondering why they don’t open with there own application? On other computers I notice that their dll filessay in the “open with” area- unknown application. Should I just leave it alone or is there a way to change this?
