DNS

One Domain.
One DNS server.
I have several hosts mapped to IP addresses.
I run IIS 4.0 on a server with a help desk program called footprints.
I am supposed to be able to access footprints via my browser at http://”host”/footprints/. I can onlyaccess it by http://”ipaddress”/footprints/.

I can ping the host by its name and IP.

Using nslookup yields the server, its IP, the host, and its IP.

Why won’t the browser access the help desk using the host name.
