In my Win2K server’s event log, there are full of error log for System Events (I am using an language other than English, so this is my translation only). The contents are about Netlogon, error code is 5774. They show that the DNS entry can’t be registered, since it can do on DC only. They occurred in a 3hrs interval continously.
Our domain name is hosted by a third party. The LAN is connected to Internet though leased line. The router is firewall enabled.
I know that it should be my fault in setting DNS settings and the configuration of the network. Please help me to solve this problem. Since the network is now very unstable. I have reinstall the server for serval times for the reasons of clients always being disconnected. They have to reboot their computer to reconnect.
Any help is appricated and any resource for me to learn. (But one more word to say, this may be the reason that I am doing something out of my ability….^_^, please!)
