DNS configurations

My company runs both NT and Unix domains.
The DNS is on Unix.
I have installed DNS on the NT.
Can any body tell me how to configure the DNS manager? I want the complete guidem ( I already know the basics)
Should it be a Primary or secondary scope?
(I am not a complete novice)
