DNS Frustration – Newbie

I have the DNS on Windows 2000 book (Matt Larson, Crickit Liu) and I am trying to set up a DNS server on a private test network.

I have followed the books step by step and at the end it says I should end up with an SOA like terminator.movie.edu.,administrator.movie.edu in the Data field.

All I end up with is terminator., administrator.

I have set the primary DNS to be the same as the system IP address. Do I need to add anything to the primary DNS suffix or elsewhere or have I just missed something altogether.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
