DNS Windows 2000 Server

by ndellasala . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

I am replacing a 2000 server currently on the network. It is the only 2000 server we use currently and I am simply configuring the new 2000 server to look exactly the same. This server is used soley as a gateway to the internet and as an e-mail server.
I have configured every service exactly the same as my predecessor had with the previous 2000 server, however I seem to be expeirencing a DNS issue when trying to access the internet. The has to be something snall I am missing but I haven’tbeen able to successfully find a solution through any research I have done.
My current 2000 server’s DNS works perfectly. When I bring that server down and replace it with the new one; I can ping to through our routers and I can access web pagesthrough exact ip addresses so I know my routing is working. Any suggetions?
