Does not show up in network neighborhood

Hi,
I have windows nt4.0 environment.
I have a site where the computer vpn’s into the main computer in another(main) location. When I check Network neighborhood at the main location the computer is not there but when I do a search on the computer I’m able to find it.. Is there a reason that it does not show up in the network neighborhood? The only way I could find it is by doing a search. Any help would be appreciated.
