Drive 0 using letter F

After re-installing 2000 new. My hard driver where 2000 is installed is using a letter F.

I go to Disk manager and tried to change to drive C. I get a “Cannot modify the drive letter of your system or boot vol”

I’m sure this happened because Iwas not aware of a plugged in controller card that a second h.d. was using when installing win2000. Does anyone know a way that I can change it to C without tons of work or re-install ?
