Drive Mapping

Is it possible not to be able to map a network drive from a computer running xp pro to a machine that is xp home???

My reason for asking is, I have a two node network with one xp pro and the other xp home. From the xp home I can map to the xp pro, but I am unable to map from xp pro to the xp home. As a matter of fact, I can ping xp pro from xp home, but I am unable to ping from xp pro to xp home.

Pls help as this is very confusing.
