Drive Mapping

Is there any easy to automate mapping a network drive prior to the user logging on? We currently are deploying ZEN Works from Novell to manage our Win2000 desktops. There is a problem in that ZEN works will fail to load an application on a machine if the application requires a mapped drive to work and the user has not logged on as the application is loaded. We currently image all our workstations and assign the users their applications to the machine. I want to map a drive before that user logson.Can I use a batch file and how do I make the machine run that batch file as it boots?
