Drive Mappings

by skylermat . Updated 23 years, 4 months ago

Hi Everyone, I hope you can give me a hand on this very annoying problem i’m encountering. I have Win2k, WinNT and Win98SE clients on an NT domain. I have a logon script for drive mappings. I just noticed that folders that were assigned a mapping will not immediately use the drive letters assigned on the script. Instead it will use the letters not included on the scipt and continuosly use different drive letters until it reached the last alphabet before finishing up with the correct drive letter. Example, if i mapped the folder “Public” on drive “P:” on the logon script, when i try and click the folder i will get a different drive letter, when i click it again another different drive letter and so on until in reaches Z:. After reaching thefinal letter on the alphabet, when you try and open the folder it will now have the correct drive letter based on the script. It will not change anymore and will remain until you restart your pc again. Someone told me to disable the Find Fast and soi did, but i’m still encountering the same problem. Your expertise will be highly appreciate. Thank you in advance
