Drivers ali pci to usb open controller

I have a hard drive partitioned into two.on one side i have windows me,no problems.on the second half i have windows 2000 premuim.i am haveing problems printing.in the device manager the ali pci to usb open controller,there is a little yellow tick.idown loaded a driver for this,works fine.But has soon as i swich off.same problem,does not work,after i load the driver it all works untll,i swich off.up come that little yellow tick.There is nothing wrong with my printer has it works ok on windows me.
