DSL Adapter not found

I’m running into problems installing DSL software. I keep getting an error message that says ‘unable to create NTSPPPOE device’.

I have an onboard NIC, which tested to be working fine.

I disabled the onboard NIC and installed another one. Didn’t help. I have the software running on another w2k server with no problems, and I am able to connect to the internet.

I also tried installing the RASPPPOE utility on the problematic machine, but that also tells me I have no network adapters installed.

This is a brand new machine with only w2k installed on it. no sp. All machines are connected through a hub. Other machines are working fine.

Any Ideas?
