Dual Boot (Win98 & WinXP)

I am presently using Win98. I would like to install WinXP on a 2nd partition of my hard drive. Since Win98 and WinXP use different drivers, will this be a problem? Also, I am using an ATA-66 driver for Win98, but if I upgrade it to WinXP, will Win98 still work?
