I have two primary partition hard drives. The first is C: drive, which is an internal NTFS drive running Windows XP Pro. The second drive is F: drive, a FAT32 USB 2.0 external hard drive. What I was wondering is if it would be possible to install Windows 95 OSR2 (which supports FAT32) on the F: drive partition so that would I would be able to dual-boot between Windows XP and Windows 95 (I need Win95 to be able to run certain old games that cannot run even w/ XP Compatibility mode). If this is possible, do I need to mark F: as my active partition after installing Win95 and then reboot the computer, or will this mess up the computer?
Also, even if I can install Win95 on my F: partition, will I be able to boot from it since again it is an external USB hard drive? The reason I ask is b/c when I was using Windows Me (before XP), using a boot disk would not work since F: drive was never recognized as a valid drive under the command prompt. I could only get to F: drive after booting into Windows.
