Dual external displays with Toshiba Tecra A8 laptop & docking station

by wneilson . Updated 18 years, 10 months ago

Hello,
I wish to use 2 external LG 19″ LCD screens, with my Toshiba Tecra A8 laptop, when it is connected to its docking station (or Advanced Port Replicator III Plus, as Toshiba call it).
I cannot seem to get thsi to work, but I have been told by an associate that it definitely can, at least on the Dell laptops that they use. The docking station has a DVI output and a VGA output.
I can get either one of the external screens to work individually, but not both together.
I want them set up as ‘extended desktop’, not duplicate. I will therefore not use the laptop screen at all, when in the docking station (as it would be closed).
The laptop has an NVidia Quadro NVS 110M graphics card in it.
Can anyone advise me how to make it work with the two external LCD screens?
Thanks, Wayne
