DVD RW

I recently added a DVD RW drive to my PC, all worked well until I had to format the HD and reload Windows XP and SP2. Now Windows sees my DVD RW as a DVD RAM drive. The same DVD RW works fine on a Linux HD.

Any help would be much appreciated.
