dxdiag error?

My PC is running on Windows 98 and recently installed DirectX8.0.After installation I type in
DXdiag at the start run program to check and test my directX but unfortunately i encountered
this error message “dxdiag error, Error=could not load RICHED32.dll”.Please help me out
how to tackle this problem or would this problem would effect my games playing.Previuosly my
system is running on DirectX6.0.
