Dynamic Disk Conversion in SBS 2000

Converting from Basic to Dynamic Disks in Windows 2000 is quite straight forward, but it seems that everytime we try to do it with Windows 2000 Small Business Server we get all sorts of problems from blue screens to data dumps. On our newer servers we do the conversion after 2000 is installed but before the rest of SBS is installed. This works fine but it doesn’t help the older servers that we need to convert after SBS has been installed. Is converting from basic to dynamic disks in SBS 2000 supported? Or do we have to reinstall and start again?
