ebay purchase

hi. i hope to purchase a tape drive on ebay soon but any help here will help me to know if i’ll be doing the right thing so i’d appreciate your thoughtful assistance please.
i don’t really know anything about tape drives and the software that comes with them and need some help in finding out which one is the best.
i went on ebay and found 3 of them that sound ok but i need to know more before i bid on them. 2 of them r colorado t1000 and 350 and the other is iomega tape 250. which one is the better and what software or tape disks(or whatever they’re called) should i get for them. thank you for any help.
