edit multiple users in active directory?

I have a domain with over 100 users, which I now wish to assign a profile path to. I need to know if I can automate the addition of

\\server\profile\%username%

to each users account, and whether this will copy the profile from their computer next time they log on /off, or start them with some kind of default profile…
