Email Servers

My company is contemplating a switch from MS Exchange/Outlook to Lotus Notes/Domino. I was wondering if anyone has had to make this change, and what the benefits and drawbacks are. Any opinions on the two products would be welcomed also. We are in an MS active domain network.
