Epson scanner 1250 not working

Using Wins 2000, Norton Firewall Personal edition. Have updated Twain drivers from Epson, also win 2000 updates from microsoft.

When I input a A4 page to scan, press on scan button, a box pops up, usually as previously with a list of listed MS progs Msword, Published, to select via radio button, to scan image to.

Foe some reason the box popsup with no list of Ms. Progs, which means I can not scan.

All my Ms progs are registered.

Deleted and uploaded drivers, still the same.

Don’t know what this error is?
