error 1068 at the end of my thether ! !

Hi every one first off i have to admit to not being very computer or IT literate but no my around some. We recently had our P.C cleaned of a number of trojans and viruses but when we got it back the P.C does not recognise the printer. The print spooler prompt window led me to the print spooler tab within the computer management. When I try to start the spooler I get the dreaded “error 1068”. I then click the dependancies tab and get “Win32 the dependancy group or service failed to start” The printer is an epson stylus DX6050 I have tried most outlets for help and was alerted to you guys by a friend. thanks for your time.
