Error adding external user ID to Distribution group in Office 365

I am facing an issue with exchange 365, kindly if someone help me out here.

I am not able to add external email address to the mailing list for example. somone@gmail.com,
I tried adding a contact to my contact list first then tried to add from the distribution list but it gives me an error like this one, I am authorized to use and edit the distribution list.
