I’m running Windows ME and every time I start my computer I get the following “Error Starting Program”, dialogue box, which contains the following message; “A required .DLL file, VSMONAPI.DLL, was not found.”
When I shut down my computer I get the “Nisserv” dialogue box with the following message; “Nisserv has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL Nisserv will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.” When I restart my computer I get the same error messages.
What can I do to restore/repair these file(s)? I have the Windows ME recovery disc my computer’s manufacturer sent me originally.
Please be as specific as possible with the instructions on how I can correct this since my experience with computers is not very extensive.
