I installed Windows 2000 Server on 3 machines, one as the main domain controller and the other two as additional domain controllers. In the Event Viewer’s Application log, there is a warning message with Event ID 1202 followed by an error message with Event ID 1000. Those two messages are produced every 5 minutes. I browsed on the Microsoft”s support web site and found the article number Q284661 which describe the above error messages. It says that those errors happen when the startup and security mode of FRS has been set through Group Policy. In my case, however, no FRS startup is set through any group policy. So, I just wonder why such errors are recorded. Is there any reason other that the one mentioned in the article Q284661 which also produces Event ID 1202 and 1000 messages in the Application Log ?
