Event ID 2019: system non-paged pool

Error in the event log: “Server unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the pool was empty.” The printers reported an “unexpected network problem.” The exact text is “The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the pool was empty.” with event ID 2019 and source SRV

This error started a week or two ago. I don’t remember any problem with the server before that. Recently the problem has been more frequent, at least once a day.

The server is a Compaq Proliant with a 350 MHz P II, 192 MB ECC RAM running Win NT 4.0 SP 6a, running proxy server, McAfee Netshield, and some printers.

I don’t think my problem is the amount of memory I have. 192 MB is quite adequate for my purpose. I checked themodules and they are ok.
