Event log errors after dcpromo

I recently demoted a Windows 2000 server from domain controller to member server. I am getting two event log errors that I would like to fix. Error 1 – The server service was unable to recreate the share SYSVOL because the directory C:\WINNT\SYSVOL\sysvol no longer exists
Error 2 – The server service was unable to recreate the share NETLOGON because the directory C:\WINNT\SYSVOL\sysvol\albanyrv.local\SCRIPTS no longer exists. I would like to promote this server to a second domain controllerbut get an error early in the Active Directory wizzard that says The wizzard cannot gain access to the list of domains in the forest. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can supply mor info if needed.
