Event viewer “Access Denied” error

I have am W2k server that every once in a while when I open the event viwere will give me an “Access Denied” error when I try to open the system or application logs. I am always logged on the this server as the admin so I’m a little confused on why this is happening. Have any of you experienced this problem?
