Exch2k forwards email marked “private”

We have an Exchange2k server running on Win2k w/ AD. When someone is out of the office, we temporarily setup email forwarding in Active Directory to an alternate internal recipient.

In Exch5.5, emails marked with the “private” property were not forwarded. However, in 2k, the private emails are forwarded. We don’t want the private emails forwarded.

I know that the Outlook rules agent will not forward private emails, but we don’t want to mess with managing rules within individual Outlookprofiles.

Is there a way to turn this feature back on or manage this on the server?
