Exchane 5.5 cant send internet mail

I have exchange 5.5 on an NT server. Users are also on NT using outlook 98. Suddenly my users can’t send email to the internet. For example,I can’t send mail to hotmail. The internet itself works fine but we can’t send email to outside internet mailboxes.

Any ideas
