exchange 2000 in a lab enviroment

I have just finished installing exchange 2000 on a win2k advanced server in a lab and connected it to a win2k desktop. The difficulty I am having is that unless I placed the diffrent test users in administrators group the outlook is not resolving the name when i try to open the emails. Why is thst?
