Exchange 2000 server SMTP

Hello everyone,

I just installed Exchange 2000. The problem I am having is that I cannot send email out (i.e. hotmail.com or yahoo.com) from POP3 setting – the POP3 and SMTP settings are pointing to my new mail server domain name. I had my ISP add an MX record to point all mail to my new domain mail server. I could send email out from OWA to the outside world but not from POP3. What am I missing? Please help.
