I have a customer with Exchange 5.5 One of the users, created Outlook profiles on her computer, for each of the other users in the office. As soon as she had done that, everyone’s mail started being sent with the reply address of: Joe on behalf ofJoe, Alice on behalf of Alice.
While the ‘behalf of’ indicates an advocate relationship, no advocates had been created, none exist on the server, and further you can not designate yourself as a delegate for yourself. Yet this is the appearance of these reply addresses.
I don’t know how to get rid of this ‘behalf of’ business, in fact instead of having the return name being listed as how each outlook client designates (ie, in outlook you can specifiy that your reply address appears, all that is being seen is the main exchange mailbox name.
Can anyone shed any light on this one for me?
