Exchange 5.5 Store.exe high CPU use

My Exchange Server 5.5sp3 service Store.exe has consistently high CPU usage that is boggin down the network. Is it related to a full private information store? The system is a year old and has been basically attended since implemtation. Any help isappreciated.
