I have a Red Hat Linux Mail Server connected to the Internet with VSAT. It’s IP address is suppose 202.4.96.2. It’s domain is dhakacom.com! I have suppose 1000 dial-up users and 20 LAN users (office).
Now, I want to have an Exchange Server which will only download the internal LAN user mails and keep them in their corresponding mailboxes in the NT server. I want to use MS Mail service for downloading LAN users mails, so that I stiil have the internal Task assignment service.
For example, zia@dhakacom.com is a mail user in the Linux mail server. zia@dhakacom.com is a dial-up user and also a LAN user. When he comes to the office he uses outlook’s ms-mail service to download his mails from the Exchange server and when at home he downloads his mails from the linux server.
Is it possible to setup an Exchange server like this? Please give details.
