We have an Exchange 5.5 installation that had been setup with the Administrator account as the service account. We followed the Microsoft article that detailed all the necessary steps required to move to another account we created specifically to handle Exchange. Everything went fine EXCEPT for an issue with a separate box running “webmail” (Linux running IMP 2.2.3). This box uses IMAP – I think – to connect to the Exchange server and when we changed the service account in Exchange it could no longer connect. People who tried to log into the webmail box would not be allowed in. Is there another step that isn’t included in any support documents that we missed? Is there something we should change in IMP Mail? Any ideas would be greatly,greatly appreciated. We are very anxious to resolve this issue so that we can have a functioning Exchange Service Account that we will never dare touching again!
