Exchge Srvr usrs losing access to email.

We have multiple domains over multiple subnets, that all receive their email from our Exchange server on our primary domain.

We are currently experiencing an issue where the users on a separate domain are unable to access their Mailbox due to nothaving the appropriate permissions.

In looking at the User account on the Exchange Server, it seems that the primary NT account that it is pointing to is the EXADMIN account on the primary domain, where previously, it was their home domain account, which they would log into each day.

If you manually change that information in their account profile, to point to the primary domain account in their home domain, it doesn’t seem to register that information and still does not allow them to access their mailbox. We can see this in the Private Information, Mailbox resources. The Primary NT Account does not change in that database.
However, if the entire user and mailbox account is deleted and recreated, the issue is resolved.

The onlyoccurrence that we have been able to associate with this issue is a cut in the fiber connection between these two domains.

Even after the fiber connection issue was resolved, if the user was already logged on and hadn’t logged off, they still were able to access their email. If they logged off and rebooted their computer, they suddenly no longer had permission to view their inbox, as all of our other users.

The connection between these domains is now operational, and an account that hasbeen recreated can log on to ANY workstation in the domain and access his/her mail.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

Thank you all, in advance, for your time and any feedback!
