excuting a command remotely

Is there a way to execute a command from a different machine on the network than the machine that you want to actually execute the command on? There is a particular command that i execute on our web server from the command line on the web server itself, but i want to be able to execute this command from my workstation so that i don’t have to actually go to the webserver to do it.
