Explanation of NT Services

Hello,

I am looking for a link to somewhere either in Techrepublic or on the internet where I can freely gain an explanation of NT Services. Basically I want to know by service name what each does.

If someone can provide me a link the points are there, links to similare explanaton on the devices listed under ‘Devices’ in NT control panel would interest me too.
