Explore is not responding in timely

I have a win2k advanced server with 200MB RAM. It takes a long time to launch explore when click on Mycomputer icon, or sometime it just don’t respond. Even after it opens, when I click on the folders on the left panel of explore, it takes too long to open the files. Is there anyway or anywhere where I can speed up to open them?
