explore my mp3 player’s hard drive?

I have the hard drive from a creative zen xtra mp3 player, and
I need to find out how to get to all my files and songs. (The
mp3 player doesn’t work by the way). So I bought an enclosure
and plugged it in, and windows didn’t find anything. So I
asked somebody about it and they told me to download knoppix
and run linux, and that should fix it. Well, I did that, and
now it shows up, but it won’t let me get into it. What do I
have to do to get to my files?
