Explorer behaves like Internet Explorer

I can’t understand what happened. For the past two days whenever I connect to internet then amazingly the explorer starts behaving like the internet explorer. While opening a folder it start searching the net. Once the connection died unexpectedly, When I tried to open a folder in the explorer I was asked whether to connect or work as offline. Only when I restart my computer is then the problem solved. But when I connect to the net ……….
