I’m a home user, not too technical (!), but am having trouble with regular Explorer Illegal action windows. The window will ususally close, and all seems OK, but sometimes won’t close, and I have to reset. The message in the window is as folows:EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0187:bff87ede. Registers: EAX=c00301a8 CS=0187 EIP=bff87ede EFLGS=00010212 EBX=ffffffff SS=018f ESP=05a0ffdc EBP=05a10048 ECX=00000000 DS=018f ESI=81c145e0 FS=1197 EDX=c00301ac ES=018f EDI=81cc54c4 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 53 56 57 8b 30 83 7d 10 01 8b 4e 38 89 4d f8 75 Stack dump:Blank
I’m running W98SE, with IE6, and all the latest updates from the MS site. Hardware Duron 850 on an Abit KT7E, with 448mb of SDRAM.
Any clues, anyone? Thanks for your help.
