Explorer error

I have just re-installed Windows 98 onto an Advent PC using their own Recovery CD. Once the install had finished and windows loaded the follwing error appears: Explorer caused an invalid page fault in Shell32.dll at 0167:7fcce741. I have tried Microsofts Knowledge base without success so any help would be gratefully received.
