Explorer Lock ups

Internet and Windows Explorer lock up on me when I click on the BACK or UP Button. This is a very frustrating problem that I have seen in several customers’ PCs. I have removed all spyware I could find, cleared out the cache, and replaced the video card. Are there any suggestions?
