HI all;
I bought a HDD enclosure with double USB connecter certified for USB 2.0 from an online shop.I put in the 2.5″ HDD and connected it to the USB port and it said not recognised disk.I then read through some forums and some one suggested disabling the standard “Enchanced PCI to USB host controller” in Device Manager.I did it an the drive immediately came up in ‘My computer’ and was working fine.But the transfer rate was slow.After some reading it was clear that disabling the Enchanced PCI to USB host controller” meant making it USB 1.0 and was slow.Anyway it was working for sometime.I ejected it and in the end it said safe to remove and I did take it out.After some time windows said “Delayed writing error $MBR”(smthng similar to it) and it has never been working again:(

All drivers updated and services like Logic
After connection a unknown device is shown in deivce manager.The HD is spinning and the LED also turns on and blinks with various changes made in Device Manager.I checked Disk Management and its not listed there. Theres no jumper which makes it DEVICE0.Its a Hitachi Travel start HTS541616J9AT00 HDD 160GB.
Any ideas are welcome.Thanks in advance.
